G4's D&D Live 2021 was an 8 hour, 2 day live streamed Dungeons & Dragons event including celebrity D&D play and interactive charity components, all shot on the most ground breaking D&D set ever created surrounded by a huge 3D Old World Tavern.

When G4 partnered with Wizards of the Coast and Critical Roll to do D&D Live, they came to XRM Media for creative and production services. The star studded event took fans on an adventurous journey of comedy and entertainment all the while raising money for five different charities.

The streams could be viewed on the official D&D Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as the NBC-affiliated streaming service Peacock, (a first for the streamer, XRM choreographed continued programming and ad breaks for the Ad based network)

The views on Twitch and TikTok were very high with many comments about the HI tech and immersive nature of the wraparound LED Wall used for the set.

Programming for D&D Live‘s games played out across five tables, featuring an assortment of celebrity guests being run through different games, including A- listers like Jack Black, Seth Green, and Deborah Ann Woll, as well as many popular G4 hosts mixed into the games.

Each table is played to raise money for a different charity via audience donations.

Filmed at XRM Studios in Burbank, CA on our wrap around 60 foot LED wall, which provided an immersive 3D Old Tavern, complete with an avatar bar-keep, built in UnReal.

During the (2) 8-hour live streams, the audience could vote and participate along the way at the prompting of the hosts, creating a competitive format that had each table raising money for their charity. For example, participating at the right time could win viewers a special power-up for a desirable video game. Donating at a certain time could get you a code for a character in a sponsor's video game.

The Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! Table, run by Jon Ciccolini  featured a unique gimmick: the players had to hunt a monster that would grow more powerful and dangerous in-game in direct proportion to how much money the tables had been able to raise.
